Who am I and what can I teach you
Idoia Muñoz-Lundy
I taught for Suffolk New College for 10 years, until they stopped their Leisure Learning classes in July 2013. Since then I have been running my own courses at the college.
I have a degree in teaching Spanish and English from the University of the Basque Country. |

what will it cost?
Is it difficult are there exams?
Is it easy? Will I be fluent in Spanish at the end? Are there exams?
As with most things in life, the more you put into it the more you will get out.
To progress with Spanish, you need someone to teach you, but also you need commitment from yourself. Just turning up for the lessons will only take you so far. I will supply homework and whilst there is no commitment to do it, you will notice the difference if you do.
There will be no exams to worry about and we will move as fast or as slow as the students feel comfortable with. I generally have a real mix of students whose ages range from their 20's to 60 plus, but everyone is welcome regardless of age or ability.
The Beginners course is usually made up of complete beginners and those who have a little Spanish knowledge.
The improvers is a mix of new and old students who have studied Spanish for a few years.

Sounds good? what next?
Which course
Not sure whether you should take Beginners or Improvers? Drop me an email and I can usually point you in the right direction If you sign up for Improvers Spanish and find the going a little tough, we can swap you into the Beginners class at no extra cost, or vice versa.
The course fees cover the whole course and cannot be reduced if you miss lessons. |
how do i sign up
Reserving your place is simply a case of paying the fees for that term. Existing students have priority followed by a first come first serve basis. The course in September is usually full by the end of August.
I will often accept new students to the Beginners course in January, but bear in mind you will be joining a course that started in the previous September. |
Maybe later?
Register with me for reminders a month or two before a course starts. I only send 5 or 6 emails a year and there is an unsubscribe link in the emails.

Some small print
If, after the first lesson, you are not happy to continue we are prepared to refund an amount equal to the 9 remaining lessons. Refunds after the first lesson are purely at the discretion of the tutor, as this may affect the viability of running the course for the remaining students. We offer a full refund if you change your mind before the course commences.
Covid 19 may cause the classes to move remotely via Zoom. Sould this occur and you do not wish to continue I am prepared to offer a refund of any unused lessons. Learning a language is not something that can be achieved in a few months. It does take some effort and plenty of practice. I hand out a little homework each week and whilst there is no requirement to complete it, it will really help. |
